Concepts ePass1000
- Secure file system
ePass1000 has a secure filesystem
in 32KB memory in which secret keys or digital certificats (PKI)
to authenticate a user can be stored.
- Cryptographical functions
Random number
generator
- the ePass1000 generates random
numbers in hardware. Random numbers are essential for the generating an
authentication digest code, and for the generation of a 'seed' for
other cryptografische functions.
The on-board
MD5 algorithme is an industry standard hashing
algorithme. This generates a 128-bits message digest of a message of
arbitrary length. MD5 Hashed Message Authentication
Code
- Hardware attributes
the Hardware ID is a unique serial number assigned to the
key, which cannot be changed.
Every ePass has a LED which can be controlled by
the application.
